Initiative #1 Beverage Container Recycling - Manditory Refunds per Bottle - Why are there only a few states that give incentives to recycle? This is PROVEN to work? My only guess is that corporate pig lobbyists are holding it back in other states. Imagine if there was a 10 cent deposit/refund on all water bottles, in every state! Is this really that difficult?

Initiative #2 NatureWorks - Compostable corn-based plastics, not made from Oil - great 'plastic' cups and utensils. If everyone switched to these instead of oil-based plastic cups, how much would the price of oil & gas go down? how much less of a carbon footprint would we have?
